The doors and store fronts of Notting Hill

Our yearly European jaunt commenced again this past winter. My sister and I spent 6 glorious days in our 2nd favorite city, London. We ate, shopped, walked, and repeated this cycle every single day that we were there. We spent the first 4 nights in Notting Hill and ended it at the Renaissance St. Pancras before jetting off to Porto.

We were so excited to stay here because Notting Hill is one of the best areas in London for walking. The pastel colored houses, beautiful store fronts, and colorful doors that pique one’s imagination, can leave someone like me entranced and diverted for days. We stalked the streets of Notting Hill for unique facades. Below are some of our snaps.

Bookshops always have some of the best displays

Notting Hill is also one of the most popular tourist destination so imagine Portobello Road during the day. Teeming with tourists is the usual scene. One of the benefits of jet lag is you wake up at an ungodly time and start your day earlier than everyone else. Being the only two people in the middle of Portobello Road was a surreal experience. Not a single soul in sight.

We also stumbled upon the cutest cafe ever in Notting Hill. It’s called Biscuiteers. We sat down and had a sugar cookie, hot cocoa with marshmallows (for my sister), and tea for me.
